The companion CDROM contains:
1) all of the text and maps of the printed version of the book
as an Adobe PDF file2) a copy of Adobe® Reader®
software (for those who do not have it)
3) Full images of the maps as separate JPEG files
* full color copies of many of
the maps.
* The largest maps, which are only excerpted in the printed
book, are completely available. (1884, 1895 and
1918 maps)
* Two of the large maps, 1852 and 1855, include drawings of
old houses and scenes. These attractive early pictures are
on the CD as as well.
* Readers can print out excerpts of any map, at any size they
want with their own software and printer. |
