Pictured below are four old maps of West Street. The oldest detailed map of this area (with names) appears to be the 1856 map (left) from the Walling county map. The Beers Atlas 1873 map (right) show many of the same names, but also a major change - the soon to be railroad. The 1856 map was succeeded by the 1860 map (same author - H.F. Walling)

The oldest map, the 1830 map (right) shows us that the old road to Northampton was Cemetery Road., and that West Street was first called "First Street".
