Champlain's 1607 Map of New England |
|
 |
This remarkably detailed map shows the New England
(and northeast) coastline from Cape Cod to Nova Scotia. It
was based on Samuel de Champlains explorations in
1605-1607. Some features are hard to match with their true
shapes (note Cape Cod at the lower left), but for its time
this was a very accurate map.
