Map 3 1767
Plan for a New County
The 1767 Map is a hand-drawn map prepared to show the
proposed outlines of Cheshire County. Before 1767 this county didn't
exist. The county established in 1767 was larger than today's Cheshire
County - it included what is now Sullivan County.
The inset to the left shows the Keene-Dublin area of the map. The dotted
lines are roads. The large dark figure is Mount "Grand"
Monadnock.
