The original map (a large wall map) was the first complete view of who lived where in the 38 towns* of Coos County. All building sites - homes, schools, churches and businesses- are located and named. All maps and data on the original have been scanned for this reproduction. (The scanned maps look much better than the internet images seen here.) * there are 38 geographic areas - some are not actually towns

	The map shows remarkable detail of mid-19th century life in New Hampshire. Here is the Crawford House in Crawford Notch in the White Mountains. The map also has an engraved view of the hotel.
