We have recently completed a complete reproduction of the 1916 soils
survey map for Windsor County Vermont.
In addition to reporting on soil types throughout the county, the map
depicts every road and house site. The roadway mapping is valuable
today because it pre-dates the USGS mapping for several Windsor County
towns.
The large map and the 20-page booklet are available in either printed
format or on CDROM*

*This PDF contains the 1916 soil map which shows town
names and boundaries, as well as house sites and the road network. The
originally map measuring 35"x53" is divided into 18 pages at 100% of the
original size. When printed out, the maps are all the same size - thus
making it very easy to cut and paste as well as study the soil and road
network. The pages are designed for printing at paper size 11x14". It is
easy to print out small sections from any map on a home printer. |
