Sets of Maps - Just One Town
.... For Genealogy & Ancient Roads Research .... |
For most towns in Vermont we have
7 or more several old and new maps, including lotting plans, the "Beers" and
"Walling" maps, the old USGS topographic maps assembled into one image,
and several other maps. To see a typical selection, click on

1) Historic Roads
Compilation Map
|
A single map showing all possible old roads in town based on several old and
new maps.
Designed as a first step for Ancient Roads research.
(based on the Historic Map Overlay Sets- below) |
2) Historic Map Overlay Sets
|
Sets of 6 or more maps, printed out at the same size so you can easily
compare the old and new maps. This is a great time-saver for anyone
doing historic research. (We use these to make the Compilation Maps)
(The tiny prints to the left are of the Town of Shaftsbury.
Click here to see larger views of these 6 maps, and a few other old maps
we have of Shaftsbury. |
3) Small Overlay Sets - small size
Send email for info on "Small Overlay
Sets" |
Same as above but printed on 11" x 17" paper, and without citations. The
modern USGS map is very hard to read at this size. Cost is $84 per set,
plus $12 for each extra map (beyond six maps - we have other
historic maps for some towns) |
4) Free downloads of
low-resolution town maps. |
We are posting these maps, starting with southern Vermont and
working northward!. Stay tuned for your town if you live up north. |
