Estey Organ Factory Sites on the Old Maps
Excerpts from a series of historical maps of Brattleboro, VT

1856 View        1st Site
A panoramic view of Brattleboro published in 1856 shows the original Estey building (same building as on the 1852 and 1856 maps).  It is the 2 1/2 story double-roofed building near the left side of this picture. This perspective was drawn from an imaginary site on the mountain across the river from Brattleboro. Main Street is barely visible extending left to right across the view and Whetstone Brook is the wide diagonal swath beneath the bridge.  The railroad is seen coursing through the covered bridge on the right.
